Lens technology
Our lens constructions are optimised to provide a variety of optical and impact-resistant benefits. We precisely align the finest polarised filters and finish our lenses with multi-layer UV Filters, Mirror coatings, and anti-scratch coatings. The end result is an artfully crafted lens that preserves colour perception and delivers optimized optical clarity and precision in all environments.
100% UV protection
Our sunglasses offer 100% UVA and UVB protection. UV exposure can cause snow blindness (painful and upsetting damage to the front section of the eye) Exposure to UV has been shown to cause long-term ocular damage. It has been proven that UV exposure leads to an increased incidence of cataract and macula degeneration later in life. Finally, most of the annoying glare we experience comes from the UV and blue end of the visible spectrum. All of our sunglasses feature lenses that have surpassed British, European or American safety tests for optical clarity, impact resistance and sun protection.
Base curve
The base curve is the radius of the sphere measured from the back of the lens. Fold™ sunglasses have a 6 base lens curvature. Models that comprise a 6 base curve tend to be more flat relative to your face.
